NBM ProbQPF48 and ProbQPF72?

Dan,

I was wondering if there is anywhere I can access NBM probability of reaching x QPF in 48 or 72 hours, similar to ProbQPF24?  This would be handy for briefing materials for multi-day events like the one coming up over the weekend.  I've noticed we have ProbSnow and ProbIce available for 48 and 72 hours.

Given that the event is coming up over the weekend, I'm cc'ing Matt Jeglum, Caleb Steele, and the NBM Viewer/WSUP teams with the suggestion, with the longshot idea in case it's easy-ish to set up on these displays.

Thanks,
Shawn

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for writing! WSUP currently offers the 48 and 72 hour PQPF fields. You can find them in the Surface dropdown alongside the other precip fields. Note that ProbQPF48/72 are only available for NBM 4.1.

Here's a short URL for the ProbQPF48 field highlighted below: https://go.usa.gov/xMDNW

If you have any issues calling up these grids, feel free to reach out.

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the message. NBM v4.1 ProbQPF48 and 72 elements were added to the WSUP Viewer on 8/26/2021. We planned to announce this addition when a new version of WSUP is released next week.

Cheers,
Kevin
