Possible IRIS email/Station Log bug

Matt and group,

I'm unsure if I've stumbled upon a bug, or it's operator error, but I'll try to provide a timeline of what happened.  We were planning on a mass emailing via the Contacts perspective using the filter to announce spotter training. I loaded all the spotters via a filter query and while doing this noticed a new group we have set up for ice jam flooding. I selected the group to see who was in it for giggles, and then reloaded the contacts from my filter query for spotters to proceed as before and sent.the email.

When looking at the Station Log to verify transmission, I noticed the log entry said " Email sent by DMX via IRIS to contact group Ice Jams - Typical (Most frequently impacted):"  Typically in this case it has said "email sent by DMX to XXX recipients" or something along those lines.

So thinking I mistakenly had left the ice jam group open when emailing, I reloaded the original spotter filter/query, double checked my email address list, and sent.  Again, the Station Log said I had sent it to the ice jam contact list.

Judging from some of the vacation message replies I've received, I believe at least one of the mailings went out as intended to all thes spotters.  So my first guess is that once you load contacts by a group, the entry into the Station Log holds onto that group even if you've started with a new filter query.

Clear as mud, huh?

Hi Brad,

Thanks for letting me know Brad. I'll take a look. In the meantime, I do see that all of your spotters were emailed,
so that group got it.

Thanks,
Matt
