WSUP Viewer v2.1 Release

WSUP Viewer v2.1 was released on September 3, 2020. Please see version notes below.

New Features:

  • Added an NBM Beta dataset, which currently supports experimental “Feature Match” Tropical Wind Speed and Direction elements with core Wind Speed and Direction coming in the next week. NBM beta is reserved for development elements outside of a version number.

  • Tropical Wind Direction now samples as “No Tropical Systems Present” when no systems exist within the domain (as has been the case for Tropical Wind Speed)

  • Lat/lon display options are now included in the URL

Bug Fixes:

  • Lat/lon values now display properly when sampling west of the NBM Oceanic domain

  • Imagery now display properly when using a URL with center longitude west of the dateline

Known Issues:

  • Lat/lon lines don’t display west of the dateline for NBM datasets. You may need to zoom in slightly for the lines to appear in the NBM Alaska domain.

  • Longitude lines don’t display in the GEFS Tropical Pacific domain
